ALWAYS INTERESTING TO READ
'Jinx' is probably one of the rare Rory albums most undervalued by a music press once again of rare incompetence! Result: the number of listens on Spotify followed this counter-publicity with 'only' 4,231,010 listens (as of December 20, 2024). Only the superb 'Easy Come, Easy Go' stands out with more than 2.5 million listens. Follows (far away) on the podium by 'Bourbon' with 617,000 and (even further!): 'Big Guns' 185,000
I took these shots March, 8th or 12th, 1982 (at Olympia, Paris, France or Pavillon Baltard de Nogent-Sur-Marne, France ?) Pictures on which Rory wears the same tee-shirt that he wore on ''Jinx'' LP's cover.
NOTES ABOUT THIS ALBUM
3 year since Rory's last album... An unusual period of time! But the explain is quite clear: Rory and his band toured intensively during this period in Europe and North America to present 'Top Priority' album (120 venues in 1979!!!).
Ninth studio album and first album with the new drummer Brendan O'Neil and introduction too of saxophone players and return of a keyboardist back.Third album recorded in Dierks Stdio, Cologne, Germany
