A photo I took of Rory's 1961 Fender Stratocaster at a Bonhams auction on October 17th.

What a thrill to be so close to this guitar! I must admit that I was overcome with emotion and couldn't hold back a few tears.

It wasn't allowed to touch it, but I couldn't resist. Its wood - which was no longer painted - was as smooth as silk!...
