ALBUM REVIEW

Three years after the release of the extraordinary ''Check Shirt Wizard'' (thanks Daniel Gallagher!); an equally interesting revisit of a period that for many members of the specialized press will have been described, wrongly, as not very productive! In 1990, a few months after the release of ''Fresh Evidences'' his excellent (and unfortunately) last studio album; Rory hits the road again and proves to us, if it were still necessary, that he is still far from lowering his flag. His dexterity, which was already not to be proven, is doubled by a return to his roots: the Blues. It is therefore a clever mix of the two evenings of December 28 and 29, 1990 at the Town & Country Club in London that Daniel Gallagher, son of Donal and nephew of Rory, offers us. The sound is absolutely pure and the perfect mix allows us to enjoy the musicians who accompany him better than ever before: Gerry McAvoy (bass), Brendan O'Neill (drums), Geraint Watkins (keyboards) and Mark Feltham (harmonica). Each track is revisited in a sublime way and allows us to see that the Rory of the early 90s was in full possession of his means.

One of the great pleasure to create a web site and/or Facebook page is to collect reactions of his visitors ; so PLEASE do not leave this page and web site without a comments and a note on our work!
